WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS FOUNDED ON?

Well hello there! The month with what seems like a 100 days is about to end. Can I get a Hallelujah up in here! Once you peep your bank account πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Lucky you! Those of us who are out here unemployed have a whole other story to tell. Due to ukame mfukoni pandemic, I have been trying to come up with business ideas ili umaskini isianze kunizoea. It hasn't been easy. But I stumbled upon an amazing video that just shed so much light on what values i'd want my business to have once I start. There is a series by the name Chef's Table . It talks about the lives of well renowned chefs around the world and their journey to where they are now in their careers. One of them happened to get my attention. It was about a lady by the name Niki Nakayama owner of n/naka based in LA. Having been brought up in a family where women aren't expected to reach high levels of achievement in their careers, she felt like she had a lot to prove to her family and the world at large. H

WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU STAND FOR?

Trying to settle into the new year Just when we are trying to fully settle into 2018 and get comfortable, subliminal racists comments are coming full throttle. A clothing line by the name H&M recently posted an ad on their website of a young black boy in a hoodie with a slogan "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle" OMG!!!! The nerve!  Who's idea was it to put this cute little boy in a hoodie with such a slogan? So this damn company wants to tell us no one, from production all the way to marketing, raised any concern about the message being put across by the slogan? If the other boy has a "what the hell is that message????" look on his face, adults can't put a finger on it? This is utterly disrespectful and outright discriminatory. Why would a company with obviously intelligent employees (given the success of the brand over the years ) think it is even remotely a good idea to allow their merchandise to communicate such a disparaging message

Don't get your panties in a bunch! Let people be. I know we had set out to meet certain goals last year. Unfortunately, we may not have met some or most of them.
